The Wind Waker: Items

Hero's Sword

Where to get:
Outset Island, Link's grandma gives it to him
What it does:
Link's main weapon of choice. It's not as good as the Master Sword, but it gets the job done.

Master Sword

Where to get:
Hyrule Castle
What it does:
The all powerful Master Sword is much stronger then the Hero's Sword. It has lost it's power and Link needs to restore it.

Boomerang

Where to get:
Forbidden Woods
What it does:
Used to stun enemies and collect items that are a distance away.

All Purpose Bait

Where to get:
Bought from Beedle's Shop and other shops
What it does:
Used to lure in the Merman to mark the area you are at on your map.

Arrows

Where to get:
Fairy Queen on Mother and Child Isles and Ganon's Tower
What it does:
  • Normal Arrows - When combined with the Hero's Bow this can be a powerful weapon. Link can hold up to 30 arrows at once until he gets upgraded.

  • Fire Arrows - Are used to light some torches, set enemies on fire and melt ice.

  • Ice Arrows - Are used to freeze enemies and cool down lava.

  • Light Arrows - Are one of the main weapons needed to kill Ganon.

Boko Baba Seeds

Where to get:
Dropped by Boko Baba's
What it does:
These can be exchanged to Hollo for a Blue Potion.

Bombs

Where to get:
First gotten at Tetra's Ship otherwise found in grass, pots, or dropped by enemies.
What it does:
Used to stun enemies and collect items that are a distance away.

Chu Jelly

Where to get:
Dropped by ChuChu's
What it does:
If you collect 15 red, green, or blue jellies you can trade them in for potions.

Deku Stick

Where to get:
Dropped by Bokoblins and found in pots.
What it does:
Used to light torches or use as a really bad weapon.

Fairies

Where to get:
At fairy fountains and found in some pots (rare).
What it does:
Restores 10 hearts of life and can be caught in a bottle for later use.

Golden Feather

Where to get:
Dropped by Kargorocs and Peahats
What it does:
Collect 20 of these for Hoskit and get a Piece of Heart in return.

Hyoi Pear

Where to get:
Boughten from Beedle's Shop or other shops
What it does:
Use a Hyoi Pear near seagulls and it will allow you to take control of it to do your bidding.

Joy Pendant

Where to get:
Dropped by Bokoblins and are found in chests and pots.
What it does:
Collect them and give them to Miss Marie located in Windfall.
  • Collect 1 = 20 Rupees

  • Collect 20 more = Cabana Deed

  • Another 20 = Hero's Charm


Skull Necklace

Where to get:
Dropped by Moblins
What it does:
Collect 20 of them and gice them to Maggie's father to receive a treasure chart.

Knight's Crest

Where to get:
Dropped or stolen from Darknuts and found in chests
What it does:
Collect 10 of these and give them to Orca to learn the Hurricane Spin attack.

Heart Container

Where to get:
Dropped by dungeon bosses after you defeat them
What it does:
Collect 4 Pieces of Heart to get a full Heart Container.

Bait Bag

Where to get:
Boughten from Beedle's Shop
What it does:
It is used to store Hyoi Pears and All Purpose Bait.

Cabana Deed

Where to get:
Given to Link after collecting 20 Joy Pendants for Miss Marie in Windfall
What it does:
Link will now have his own bachelor pad on his own island.

Deku Leaf

Where to get:
Forest Haven
What it does:
This allows Link to glide through the air as well as blowing air at enemies and objects.

Delivery Bag

Where to get:
Dragon Roost Island
What it does:
Allows Link to carry items such as: trading quest items, mail and his cabana deed.

Grappling Hook

Where to get:
Dragon Roost Cavern
What it does:
Used to help Link swing across ledges and is used as a crane in the King of Red Lions to collect deep ocean treasure.

Bottles

Where to get:
Different areas in the game
What it does:
You can store potions, fairies and forest water in these.

Hero's Bow

Where to get:
Tower of the Gods
What it does:
Used to kills some enemies and bosses.

Hero's Charm

Where to get:
Given to Link by Miss Marie after collecting all the Joy Pendants
What it does:
When wearing this Link can see the health of any enemy above its head.

Hero's Shield

Where to get:
Outset Island. Link's grandma gives it to him
What it does:
Used to defend and deflect objects at enemies.

Hookshot

Where to get:
Wind Temple
What it does:
It pulls object to Link or helps him across areas by latching on to hookable objects.

Iron Boots

Where to get:
Ice Ring Isle
What it does:
Wear these to allow Link to pull heavy objects. They also let Link walk through windy areas without getting blown away.

Magic Armor

Where to get:
Get as a reward from the trading sequence
What it does:
Wearing this armor make Link invinsible to enemies, while draining his magic gauge.

Mirror Shield

Where to get:
Earth Temple
What it does:
It is used to reflect light at objects and to block enemy attacks. This shield is much stronger then the Hero's shield.

Pictobox/Deluxe Pictobox

Where to get:
Windfall Island from Tingle's jail and from Lenzo
What it does:
Allows you to take pictures of people, places and anything else.

Pirate's Charm

Where to get:
Tetra gives it to Link
What it does:
Used to talk with Tetra and the King of Red Lions from any distance.

Potions

Where to get:
Boughten at shops
What it does:
  • Red Potion - Restores life

  • Green Potion - Restores magic

  • Blue Potion - Restores both life and magic


Power Bracelets

Where to get:
Fire Mountain
What it does:
Allows Link to pick up heavy rocks or other heavy objects.

Skull Hammer

Where to get:
Forsaken Fortress
What it does:
It is used to pound pegs and stakes. You can also use it to stun nearby enemies.

Spoils Bag

Where to get:
Tetra's Ship
What it does:
You can store such things in it like: Chu jelly, Boko Baba seeds, Golden Feathers, Joy Pendants, Skull Necklaces, and Knight's Crests.

Telescope

Where to get:
Given to Link by Aryll
What it does:
Allows Link to see things far off in the distance.

Tingle Tuner

Where to get:
Given to Link by Tingle
What it does:
Let's you connect to a Gameboy Advance and lets friends play as Tingle.

Wind Waker

Where to get:
Given to Link by the King of Red Lions
What it does:
Lets you conduct songs that you have learned so you can warp to different parts of the ocean and change the winds direction.
